The KEDIVIM of the University of West Attica in collaboration with the Hellenic Physiotherapy Society of Algology organizes a training program in Acupuncture for Doctors, Dentists and Physiotherapists. This is the only university certified program in the country.

In order to complete the program, the following requirements must be fulfilled:

Systematic attendance of both the theoretical and practical part of the program with the possibility of absences up to 20% of the hours.
Completion of the required number of hours of supervised clinical practice in public institutions such as the Pain Clinic of the Aretaios Hospital, NKR, and the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Laboratory, UniWA, as well as in approved private institutions, under the necessary conditions if deemed necessary.
Completion of the internship at the Anatomy Department of the Medical School, and successful completion of the
Successful completion of a final written examination given at the end of the programme covering the entire programme syllabus
Successful completion of the practical part of the programme
Successful demonstration of the correct application of acupuncture during clinical practice on patients.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
Writing of a thesis on a topic related to the subject of training and preferably its oral presentation or publication in the scientific press.

The programme is certified by the KEDIBM of the University of West Attica with 30 ECTS level 7.
